Hiya folks. It’s been a week since the 2.4 patch hit the servers, and even though a lot of addons were ready, and a few claimed to be ready, all has not been perfect. This was perhaps the best patch so far in regards to addons, even with the massive combat log changes. Most of my addons were updated and was working before the patch was released, and all I had to do was use WowAceUpdater. Read on for an in depth look at addon status as of today. [Read more →]

Deadly Boss Mods - Updated for 2.4 patch

March 25th, 2008 by mischief
Respond

The 2.4 patch is upon us and Deadly Boss Mods has been updated for it. As the new wow patch has a new combat log, the addon had to be improved with everything that used the combat log. Some of the old world instances hasn’t been updated yet, namely Zul’Gurub and Naxxramas. As Tandanu, the developer, has only been able to test it with the new Sunwell bosses, there might be some bugs left, and he asks that these are reported to tanadu@gmail.com or posted about on the forum. More info to come as I get to test it myself! [Read more →]

Hiya folks!

I’m away taking a well earned Easter holiday, but getting a little online time here and there, so thought I’d toss up a small blog about what’s ahead of us in regard to addons for the upcoming patch. I don’t spend any time on the test realms, so I haven’t been able to look at anything personally, but I’ve been reading up on the great internet to find out what I can, and I’ll try to inform you of what to expect. Wowecon update toolEarning money in World of Warcraft has become a lot easier in recent patches with the daily quests and all. Some people rely on the auction house for making money still, though, and there are some nice wow addons out there that will help you earn money a lot easier. Auctioneer has been one of the most popular addons in the Blizzard community since the first versions came out, but there is an alternative to it, one that I like more personally, called Wowecon. sRaidFrames and BeneCaster - Blog-o-rama

March 5th, 2008 by mischief
Respond

Rating: ★★★★☆
SraidFrames and BenecasterI’ve decided to go a bit crazy today and post about two addons in one article. Reason is that these addons go hand in hand, just like beer and football. sRaidFrames gives you replacement frames (windows) showing your fellow raid members with a lot of improvements over Blizzard’s default ones and BeneCaster gives you dynamic casting icons next to your group members or raid members. This might all sound a bit foreign for some of you, but read on and I will show you the light. [Read more →]
